Visual elements and how they are used by artists have a great impact on the visual perception of artworks. By using visual elements, artists provide more information about their works to the audience, which requires strategic knowledge. The gestalt psychological school, which originates from cognitive science and is related to visual perception, makes it possible for the audience and the artist to be there together. Haft Orang Jami includes pictures that, due to the use of visual elements, make it possible to study based on the principles of psychology, and in this way you can understand the themes in this art collection better and faster by the audience. This research is done in a descriptive-analytical way and its information is in a library style with the aim of familiarizing with the principles of Gestalt, its role and application in better understanding of works of art by the audience and answering the question that the placement of human figures in these paintings based on the theory of Gestalt has What are the visual features? Collected. In this research, 4 images out of 28 images of Haft Orang Jami were examined with the help of four principles of Gestalt, and as a result, the way the figures are placed can be studied based on the 4 laws of Gestalt, which include similarity, proximity, continuity, and integration or completion. and the use of these rules leads to visual perception, which greatly helps the audience in recognizing and understanding the work of art, and gives a scientific appearance to the visual elements that may be hidden from the audience in the initial encounter.
